Mobilizing the Dialogues in the city
Apart from sessions, talks, and round tables, the ‘Dialogues in Archaeology’ will expand in public space, create speech and craft laboratories with the active participation of artists, architects, and activists.
Dissemination of the ‘Dialogues in Archaeology’ in the city of Volos
The activities and sessions will take place in various venues: University of Thessaly, Tsalapatas’ multi-purpose venue, Athanasakeion Archaeological Museum. Venues involved include:
- Activation of public areas along the coastline. Port facilities (silos), urban beaches (Anavros, Plakes), urban archaeological sites, natural reserve at "Bourboulithres", Pefkakia, ancient Dimitrias.
- Traditional shipyards at Pefkakia and Trikeri.
- Nea Ionia (refugee settlement of 1922).
- Ancient and modern settlements of Pelion.
- Periurban landscapes and territories, modern industrial areas (Dimini).
- Industrial labs and craft workshops.
